Orthopedic Care Specialists

Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Services

In 2003, Orthopedic Care Specialists added rehabilitation services to complement the orthopedic surgery practice with non-surgical treatment procedures and solutions. This enhancement allowed for direct communication between the physicians and the therapists thereby improving overall patient care and providing comprehensive orthopedic care. By having the physical therapy treatment center in-house we have been able to be more aggressive with our rehabilitation protocols and improve our patient outcomes. This means improving patients' strength and stability as well as focusing on safe mobility. In February 2007, we moved into our new state-of-the-art facility that allows us to provide virtually all orthopedic services that a patient may need to recover from their injury.

Joints in Motion at Orthopedic Care Specialsts

J.I.M. staffs certified personal trainers and physical therapists who have undergone specialized training to help patients decrease their joint and muscle pain by improving strength and stability, as well as safe mobility.

Our staff of highly qualified Physical and Occupational Therapists provide individualized treatment plans for all patients. We evaluate and cast for custom foot orthotics as well as custom made splints for the hand, wrist and elbow.

The addition of Joints in Motion (J.I.M.) – our 4000 sq. ft fitness center – has allowed us to progress patients into independent workout programs that they can continue with upon discharge. Members of the J.I.M. can continue on their own or with one of our certified personal trainers.

You may have patients that need our rehab services or you may have a patient that just needs an overall conditioning program. If you would like to refer a patient for physical or occupational therapy, just write a prescription for therapy and have the patient contact our office to schedule an appointment. Please feel free to call our rehab department directly if you want to discuss a patient's care/needs or if you would just like more information on what we have to offer.

All major health insurances accepted, including Workers Compensation and Automobile Insurance.
